Digital Tourism Meetup
On Tuesday 25th the Digital Tourism Meetup is back in RookieOven once again. The Digital Tourism Meetup was born out of a belief that Glasgow has some of the most talented minds in both technology and tourism, which we wanted to bring together under one roof. There's so much room for collaboration between the two industries and we can work together to build Glasgow's status as a worldwide tourist destination.
At the September meet up we’ll be hearing from Synden Grieve of Expedia, and Michael is going to be chatting about the future of Digital Tourism Glasgow. Tickets are free and we’ll have plenty of beer and pizza to get stuck into. Reserve your ticket here.
RookieOven Meetup
Our meet up takes place on the first Monday of every month and is a great opportunity to catch up with the local tech scene. We like to keep things pretty informal, and everyone’s welcome. Come along to The Raven on Renfield Street at 6.30pm on Monday 1st October to see for yourself! Find out more over on our Facebook page.
Skyscanner Legal Clinic Drop In
Got a legal issue you’re not sure about? Looking for someone to chat to about the legal agreements you need to put in place, or maybe you’re trying to work out what you need when you’re getting started? From data protection, intellectual property, employment or company structuring and set-up issues, to anything arising around the intersection of law and technology, a couple of lawyers from the legal team at Skyscanner are going to be on hand at Rookie Oven, 1046-108 Govan Road, Glasgow, Glasgow G51 4XS on October 2nd between 10am and 12pm to answer any burning legal questions you might have. Find out more and RSVP on our Facebook event.
ScotlandPHP Conference
The third ScotlandPHP conference is taking place through in Edinburgh at the start of October, with a great lineup of speakers and workshops taking place across the two days. There will be 14 talks presented across 2 tracks, along with 4 workshops to help you enhance your current skills and find out what's next for PHP and beyond. A limited number of tickets are still available here.
JPMorgan Developer Networking Evening
JPMorgan are opening the doors of their award winning Technology Centre and inviting experience developers to learn more about working in the company on October 11th. As one of the largest IT employers in Scotland, JP Morgan are always on the hunt for new talent to join their team. Developers will be on hand throughout the evening to chat about their agile teams, technology stacks and opportunities.
