The RookieOven Coworking space was an attempt to provide a home for the Glasgow tech industry. Today there is so much choice for startups in the city to find a home such as The Whisky Bond, Civic House, Clockwise, Barclays Eagle Labs and many more.
The Story of RookieOven Coworking
In 2014 there was little choice for flexible working environment for startups in Glasgow so we set out to do something. We worked with Govan Workspace and opened the RookieOven Coworking Space in the Fairfield Shipyard Offices. Truly bootstrapped, by founders for founders. The endevour was highly valuable to the Glasgow tech ecosystem but was ultimately unsustainable and too reliant on charity from Michael, Govan Workspace and others.
